MINE WATER, TOO MUCH OR TOO LITTLE
Mining has a love hate relationship with water. It is often needed for mine and processing applications but, if you have too much of it and can't control where it goes, you add to operating costs or in extreme cases can be shut down.
There are areas underground where you don't want water such as electrical sub stations, lunch rooms, emergency gathering areas, etc.
Basecrete, a poly modified concrete waterproofs underground areas. It has a bond strength of 1300 psi to concrete and 1100 psi to steel. It will bond to virtually any surface. When it is white it increases lighting levels. It can play a crucial role for overall water control in wet mines and can be used to line water storage areas in dry or wet mines. It has a very high resistance to chemicals and can store potable water.
On the surface it can line storage and ponding areas. Under the right conditions it is suitable for heap leaching operations.
It is highly flexible and can handle moderate levels of shakes rattles and rolls.
